# Yellow houseplant mushroom
Leucocoprinus birnbaumii

A little yellow mushroom that pops up from potting soil. Harmless to plants.

## Care

- Air humidity: 85 to 100%

- Temperature: 22 to 32 °C

## Description
Its spores ride in on bagged potting soil and fruit when the jar is warm, wet and rich. The scaly cap fades to pale yellow-white within days. It signals very moist soil and is toxic if eaten, so mind pets and children.

Also called flowerpot parasol, plantpot dapperling, lemon-yellow lepiota.

Estimated, where sources were thin: growth_rate (fruiting bodies, not spreading mat); typical_duration_days per flush; temp_c; mycelium persists indefinitely and re-fruits.
